Size: 29 inches high x 22 inches wide x 16 1/2 inches deep. The top drawer is fitted with a wooden writing surface and dividers for inkwells, and there is a lower shelf. Condition is very good.

An English antique staddle stone for your garden. This mushroom shaped stone was originally a support for an English granary building, which served to elevate the structure above ground level, allowing for air circulation and preventing rodents from getting into the granary. New England early American Sheraton era four-drawer bureau, probably New Hampshire origin. Circa 1800. Original oval brass pulls. Birch with cherry drawer fronts cross-banded in mahogany and with line inlay. Cookie corner top above delicately turned and reeded legs with high feet and a shaped apron. Condition: Refinished, and with a small patch to the left rear corner of top. Dimensions: 42 1/8 inches width x 19 1/2 inches depth x 44 inches ht.
