'The Temptation of St. Anthony' by Edouard De Beaumont (French, 1821-1888), oil on canvas. Circa 1850s-1860s. Size: 30 inches x 20 inches. Charles Edouard de Beaumont was son of the sculptor, Jean-Baptiste Beaumont, and Charles studied under the artist Boisselier. He was primarily a lithographer but also painted in oils, and founded the Society of Watercolourists in 1879. Offered in an antique gilt wood frame. Signed in the lower left. Painting has been professionally restored and relined.

Figural cow creamer, 800 silver, German, late 19th century. This heavy silver creamer is fashioned in the form of a cow with horns and with a curled tail that serves as the handle. A hinged cover adorned with a fly on the cow's back is used to fill the creamer, and the cream is poured from the cow's mouth. Size: 3 3/4 inches ht. x 5 3/8 inches length x 2 inches depth. 4.76 troy ounces. Condition: one of the cow's legs is bent, but the creamer rests firmly on a table without any wobble...

Norbert Goeneutte (French, 1854-1894) genre painting of a Parisian bookseller. Oil on wood panel. Dated 1881. Size: 12 1/8" x 16 1/8". Signed lower right. Condition: excellent. Goeneutte was a painter of genre scenes, portraits and urban landscapes. He is best known for his depictions of everyday life in Paris, with particular attention to the women of the city.

A scarce artist's fully articulated wooden mannequin, probably French. 19th century. Size: 19 inches ht. Mannequins were an important tool in the artist's studio. Each was carved to model the human form and utilized wooden ball joints that allowed the figure to be manipulated into realistic positions. Aesthetic style coin silver octagonal bowl by William Forbes for the famous firm of Ball, Tomkins and Black, New York. Circa 1845. This bowl was probably originally part of a tea and coffee service. It weighs a substantial 12.92 troy ounces and measures 3.5 inches ht. x 5.75 inches diameter. It is beautifully engraved with chinoiserie decoration, using stylized Chinese pagodas and scrolling foliage. One panel is engraved with the family monogram 'MEW.' Excellent condition.

Northern Plains Native American spirit pipe with a Catlinite (pipestone) bowl carved with a full figural effigy of a walking bear, together with a wooden stem decorated with geometric black painted markings. Circa 1890. Overall length: 23.5 inches. Pipe bowl dimensions: 7 inches length x 3 inches height x 1.25 inches depth. Excellent condition.
