American document box with folk art inlaid design. Mahogany. Mid 19 century. A ripple edge molding adorns all edges as well as the base of this box. The top and sides are decorated with contrasting light and dark wood inlays, including a compass point and six stars on the lid and a heart and scroll design to the front. Size: 14 3/8 inches length x 8 7/8 inches depth x 6 inches height. Condition: some loss to the ripple molding. From a Woodstock, Vermont residence.

"Pung and Chow" - by Marguerite Kirmse (British/American, 1885-1954), original signed etching on wove paper. Date: 1923. Image size: 6 in. x 8.5 in. Artist's proof ltd. edition print. Pencil signed and titled by the artist in the lower margin. Offered in the original frame with gallery label of Arthur H. Harlow & Co., Rare Etchings and Engravings, 712 Fifth Ave., New York. An etching of two Pekingese dogs, Pung and Chow. Kirmse is best known for her drawings and etchings of dogs.

Tiffany and Co. sterling silver pierced sugar sifter spoon in strawberry vine pattern. Circa 1891-1902. Manufactured during the directorship of Charles Tiffany and stamped on the base of the handle. Size: This is the large size version measuring 5 3/8 inches in length. Monogrammed inside the pierced bowl. 1.36 troy ounces. Excellent condition. Would also serve nicely as a tea strainer because of the fine piercing.

A most unusual piece of Dartmouth College memorabilia from the Class of 1948. This double sided mahogany book stand was a gift to Dartmouth College library from the Class of 1948; sold together with a paperback "Dartmouth College" booklet.

Pierre-Auguste Renoir (French, 1841-1919), Le Chapeau Epingle ('The Pinned Hat'), drypoint etching, originally published in 1894. This version is a later posthumous restrike. Signed in the plate. The two girl models are known to have been Julie Manet, the daughter of Berthe Morisot and niece of Eduard Manet, and her cousin, Paulette Gobillard. Plate size: 4.5" x 3.25". A nice strong image, printed on light cream paper. Excellent condition...

A pair of Georgian silver table spoons by Hester Bateman, the famous female smith who has been called the "Queen of English Silversmiths." London, 1776-1777. Length: 8.25 inches. These are in the Old English pattern with down turned handles engraved with their original family crest of a rising eagle with wings inverted on a mural coronet. American Revolutionary War era military style wooden canteen. 19th century. Oak hand carved staves held together by four horizontal hand forged iron bands and two vertical bands; two iron rings and hand forged nails. A keg form canteen with two holes in the top; and with two iron carrying rings for a sling. Condition is very good; the upper most iron band is loose. Dimensions: 8" high x 8.5" wide x 5" deep.
