Pierre-Auguste Renoir (French, 1841-1919), Le Chapeau Epingle ('The Pinned Hat'), drypoint etching, originally published in 1894. This version is a later posthumous restrike. Signed in the plate. The two girl models are known to have been Julie Manet, the daughter of Berthe Morisot and niece of Eduard Manet, and her cousin, Paulette Gobillard. Plate size: 4.5" x 3.25". A nice strong image, printed on light cream paper. Excellent condition. Offered in acid free matting in a modern gold metal frame.
