An English figural centerpiece epergne with intertwined palm trees and antlered stag, unmarked but possibly by Elkington & Co. Circa 1865. There are three candelabra arms and a fourth central light that converts to hold a glass, trumpet shaped flower vase. Wonderful detailing and in very good overall condition, but with minor solder repairs to several of the fronds, some bent, and with a couple of frond tips missing...

Victorian Mercury glass demijohn bottle, 19th century. This early example of Mercury glass is hand blown with a rough pontil mark on the underside and a sheared lip at the top of the narrow neck. The rectangular form is embellished with vertical ribbing. The mercury finish is in very good condition, with only a single half inch diameter area where the finish exhibits signs of oxidation. There are bubbles visible in the glass. Dimensions: 9.5" wide x 7" deep x13.25" high.

A rare French porcelain figural inkstand in the form of a grazing cow, 19th century. This inkstand has a removable inkwell and sander and is modeled in the form of a grazing cow, complete with horns and bell, decorated in polychrome enamels, with overglaze gilt accents. It bears a blue pseudo Sevres mark on the underside. Continental, probably of French origin. Professional restoration to horns; also, there is a tiny manufacturing line on the edge of the base (see photo detail)...

Cutlery urns became popular in the late 18th century as decorations to grace the dining-room sideboard, and their popularity continued throughout the Victorian era. In this example, the cover may be raised on a central support and held in place by a brass button catch. A sculptured bronze match holder with striker modeled in the form of a fox caught in a trap. Continental origin. Mid to late 19th century. Size: 4.25 inches length x 2.25 inches height x 3 inches depth. Excellent as-found condition. The fox is standing amidst foliage by a tree stump (which serves as the match holder) with his left fore paw caught in a metal snare. His expression displays the distress caused by his predicament. The fox is cast separately and attached to the base.

Decorative berry spoon in the Ivory pattern by Whiting, fashioned in sterling silver with an ornate gilded and chased bowl and with a carved ivory handle, which retains most of its original brown patination. Rare dancing Harlequin candle snuffer cast in sterling silver, London, 1894-95, maker's mark 'M.F.' The harlequin figure is holding a pair of snake form rings above his head. Harlequin sugar tongs or nips are uncommon, however, the harlequin candle snuffers are extremely scarce. They are distinguished from the sugar nips by the fact that the leaf grips are flat and set slightly at an angle to properly extinguish the flame of a candle...

Carved bone and ebony Civil War era dominoes. Mid 19th century. This complete set is comprised of 28 tiles carved from bone, laminated onto ebony, secured with brass pins. They are offered in their original wooden case with sliding cover. Box measures: 6.75" x 2.25" x 2.4". Condition is very good, but exhibiting some signs of wear and minor chipping to some tiles. All in all a great early game.

There is a chip to the glass foot ring, which is covered by a sterling silver mount, hallmarked by E.H. Stockwell, London 1872. Otherwise condition is excellent. An English Victorian claret jug in cut crystal mounted with a sterling silver handle and spout with hinged cover. Fully hallmarked on the silver neck for Birmingham, 1892, by Vale Brothers & Sermon. Size: 8.5" ht. x 5.5" x 4.5". Condition: No chips, cracks, dents, or repairs. Crystal is clear apart from some slight cloudiness on the very bottom of the jug (which might be removed with soaking).

A Chinese export rose medallion porcelain vase of baluster form with four applied gilded lizard handles. Circa 1840-50s. The vase is decorated in polychrome enamels with two panels of courtesans with gilding in their hair and with two of butterflies and roses in a vase. Size: 10 inches height x 4.5 inches diameter. Condition: One of the lizard handles is missing a front leg and there is some minor wear to gilding on top rim (See photo details).
