American figural cow weathervane, probably Cushing and White, Waltham, Massachusetts. Circa 1880-1890. Size: 26.5 inches length x 16 inches height. A full copper body and cast zinc head of classic form with wonderfully delineated lines. Gilt over original gilt surface, with some verdigris. Overall excellent condition; no restoration to the body. Cushing and White made these models with or without udders. Provenance: private collection, Chatham, New York.

Faiencerie de Gien French pottery jug executed in a turquoise glaze, hand pained with floral, bird and insect motifs. Circa: 1875. Size: 8.25" height x 6" diameter. Condition is excellent, with no chips, cracks or restoration. Gien printed tower mark under base.

Minton hand painted botanical dessert service, including eight 9" dessert plates and 1 dessert stand. Date code for 1869. Each plate has a cobalt border with rich gilding and a hand-painted central reserve depicting various species of flowers, butterflies, berries, and insects. The stand has the same matching border but no botanical scene. All of the plates bear an impressed Minton mark; the stand is unmarked...

A rare copy of the Book of Mormon, translated by Joseph Smith, Jr., first state Third Edition. Nauvoo, ILL: Robinson and Smith. 1840. Stereotyped by Shepard and Stearns, Cincinnati, Ohio. Full calf binding with exceedingly rare green title label on spine. Very nice condition with some scuffing and minor chips to spine. Unusual silver plated kerosene oil lamp with bright cut, hand engraved decoration. Wick adjustment knob marked The Silberlight Co., London, Manufactured in Germany. 19th century. There is a heart shaped maker's stamp on the cross shaped brace on the underside of the base. Size: 7 1/8 inches height x 4.5 inches diameter. Includes an amber glass ruffled chimney. Height including chimney is 10.5 inches...

A French Manche a Gigot bone holder used to secure a leg of lamb or mutton while carving. The handle bears the French guarantee mark of the first silver standard (.950) and the holder, with its crown shaped terminal and trefoil screw, is of silverplated steel. Circa 1860-80. Excellent condition. Length: 8 3/8 inches.

Staffordshire pottery cottage bank, 19th century, with applied floral garland around door. Size: 4.5" ht. x 4.25" wide x 2.25" deep. Overall crazing to glaze, and a more pronounced craze line encircling one of the chimney bases, though it does not appear to be a crack. Some damage to two of the applied flowers surrounding the door.

A large sterling silver goblet with half ribbed cup, Sheffield, 1898, by Cleft Alexander Mawer Clark of the Alexander Clark Manufacturing Company, Sheffield, England. Size: 10.245 inches ht. Weight: 19.7 Troy ounces (including iron bar). There is a slight push-in on the base of the pedestal which produces a slight wobble. No monogram.

Pair of patinated bronze argand lamps by John B. Jones of Boston, MA. Each lamp has a floral finial and an urn-form fluid reservoir. Circa 1830-40s. These lamps have been electrified but have not been drilled. One of the wheel-cut glass shades has a minor chip and line at the top rim. Dimensions: 19 inches ht. x 11 inches length x 5 inches depth. Excellent condition. With label of John B. Jones.

A Russian silver mug engraved with two town scenes by Moscow silversmith M. Dimitriyev (1854-1877), dated 1869, assayer Viktor Savinkov. Excellent condition with gilded interior. Size: 3 3/4 inches ht. x 2 5/8 inches diameter. Silver standard: 84 zolotniks (.875 pure silver).

Rare John Wendt Medallion pattern sterling cream dipper, marked BALL, BLACK & CO. 925 PATENT. Wendt did not hallmark his silver, but many of his pieces bear these stamps. The handle end bears a medallion with a helmeted Greek warrior in profile, and the bucket-form bowl retains its original gilding. Circa 1865. Size: 6.5 inches. Excellent original condition, no monogram, and no repair nor damage...

Scarce mini Coalport cabinet cup and saucer with turquoise and red enameled jewels on a canary yellow glaze ground with gilded accents and gilded interior. Circa 1890s. Fluted shape. Antique carousel horse by Armitage-Herschell Company of Tonawanda, New York. Late 19th century. This early carved jumper track horse retains almost all of its original painted surface and is in excellent original condition. Size: 59 inches length x 39 inches height x 11 inches depth. Hardly ever is a carousel horse encountered in this state of preservation and with so much of the original painted surface intact...

A cased pair of repousse decorated napkin rings fashioned in sterling silver by the famous late 19th century manufacturer, Henry Holland, London, 1899-1900. This pair of napkin rings are of heavy weight and are decorated all over with crisp repousse work of scrolling foliage, and each is engraved with the original owner's initials in a circular cartouche, 'JHP' and 'JP'...

English novelty, figural horseshoe shaped inkstand by James Dixon and Son of Sheffield, fashioned in silverplate (EPNS) with a removable glass inkwell. 19th century. A wonderful desk accessory for the equestrian collector. Excellent original condition, with no chips, dents, cracks or restoration. Size: 4 7/8" wide x 5" deep x 2" high.

A fine 19th century American tea caddy in the Japanese taste with applied floral motifs. Condition: no repairs, but with a few small dings to the body. Gorham date marks for 1888.
