Rare Gorham Arts & Crafts sterling silver sauce gravy ladle in a hammered surface and with mixed metals design on the handle of two cherries, leaf and twig in bronze, and with a second leaf in gilded silver. Circa 1885. Excellent condition. Marks: stamped with the Gorham logo (lion, anchor, G) "sterling & other metals", and with the name of the retailer George H. Ford. Size: 6" length.

Continental singing bird-in-cage automaton. Circa. 1900. Probably French or Swiss. Bird fashioned from real feathers, with glass eyes, and on a brass perch. Key-wind mechanism inside base of cage causes bird to sing various bird songs, while moving beak and turning head. Some loss to bird’s feathers. Musical movement is operational but sometimes hesitates, requiring a slight titling action to restore it, so probably requires some adjustment. Size: 12.5” ht.

English cameo art glass vase by Thomas Webb & Sons, late 19th century. Double gourd form decorated in three colors with relief carved blue and white floral designs on a satin glass ground, together with a trademark butterfly on the reverse. Size: 7" high x 4.5" diameter. Excellent condition. Molded signature on underside of base.

Frederick Carder designed blue aurene iridescent glass compote by Steuben Glass Works, circa 1915. Signed 'Aurene' under base with production number 2642. Size: 8" high x 6 1/8" diameter. Excellent condition. A superb example of American art glass by one of the greatest glass designers.

Frederick Carder designed Steuben art vase in a gold aurene iridescent finish with ruffled rim on a twisted pedestal stem. Circa 1905. An early example with a low production number '182'. Signed and numbered under base. Size: 8 3/4" high x 5 1/8" diameter. Excellent condition.

A rare French porcelain figural inkstand in the form of a grazing cow, 19th century. This inkstand has a removable inkwell and sander and is modeled in the form of a grazing cow, complete with horns and bell, decorated in polychrome enamels, with overglaze gilt accents. It bears a blue pseudo Sevres mark on the underside. Continental, probably of French origin. Professional restoration to horns; also, there is a tiny manufacturing line on the edge of the base (see photo detail)...

Rare English Bilston type figural bonbonniere in the form of a seal's head, fashioned in painted enamels over copper. Circa 1760-1790. The cover is brass mounted and hand painted with two running hounds. The box is unmarked but was probably made at Bilston. Condition: some hairlines and with minor chipping and lines to the hinged cover; tiny blemish on animal's chin. Size: 1.5" length x 1.25" diameter. True period examples like this are scarce to the market.

A large English majolica pitcher decorated with two pink wild roses on green leaf stems placed on a brown tree bark background, with twig handle. Circa 1880. Unmarked but possibly by Holdcroft. The interior with a light green glaze. Excellent condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. There is a pin head size burst glaze bubble on handle thumb rest and some minor crazing on base. The condition of this pitcher is about as close to 'mint' as one could find in majolica. Size: 8" ht...

English novelty, figural horseshoe shaped inkstand by James Dixon and Son of Sheffield, fashioned in silverplate (EPNS) with a removable glass inkwell. 19th century. A wonderful desk accessory for the equestrian collector. Excellent original condition, with no chips, dents, cracks or restoration. Size: 4 7/8" wide x 5" deep x 2" high.

American art pottery vase by Rookwood, decorated in a blue vellum glaze shading to a rose color at the base, and adorned with white roses, painted by Ed Diers, with date code for 1928. Impressed maker's marks to underside of base. Size: 7 inches high. Excellent condition, with no chips, cracks or restoration.

Decorative berry spoon in the Ivory pattern by Whiting, fashioned in sterling silver with an ornate gilded and chased bowl and with a carved ivory handle, which retains most of its original brown patination. This pattern, #2888, was designed by Charles Osborne and was patented in 1890. Incised owner's monogram on handle. Excellent original condition, with no damage, dents, breaks, or repairs. A contemporary match safe fashioned in the shape of a hound's head in sterling silver, London, by silversmith David A. Bowles, 2004. This match safe or vesta case is a contemporary copy of a Victorian original. It is very detailed and of heavy weight. The dog's collar hinges open to reveal the matches inside, and there is a striker under the chin. Fully hallmarked for London, 2004. Size: 2 inches length x 1.25 inches depth x 1 inch ht. Excellent original condition, with no damage.

French sewing etui fashioned in the form of a jade glass egg with gilt brass mounts, including the original sterling silver sewing tools: thimble, needle case, stiletto, scissors, and bodkin. The etui is suspended from a brass chain with finger ring. 19th century. Size: 3 inches length x 2 inches diameter. Condition: some wear to gilding on brass mounts. All tools are original with sterling handles, each bearing tiny French guarantee hallmarks...

Worcester Barr, Flight & Barr period porcelain tea cup and saucer in Queen Charlotte or whorl pattern. Circa 1792-1803. Impressed on underside with letter "B" and with British Antique Dealers' Association (BADA) labels of authenticity. Excellent condition with no chips, cracks or repairs; only some rubbing to gilding on rims.

George III two-handled cup or porringer with repousse floral decoration, sterling silver, London, 1763, by silversmith William Cripps, engraved with owner's initials 'S*R' and date of '1764' in a cartouche. Pair of English George I table spoons in the Hanoverian pattern with rat tail bowls, London, 1716 - 1717, Britannia standard (95.84% pure silver), with indistinct maker's marks. Length: 8 inches. These early Georgian tablespoons have a pronounced midrib to the front of the handles and are engraved with owner's block shaded initials R*C over earlier erased initials...

Georgian sterling silver teapot, London, 1784, by famous silversmith Robert Hennell. This pot has shaped sides with bright cut and beaded decoration to the cover and top portion. Wooden scroll handle and ebony finial. Condition: some old repairs to the underside seam on the bottom, minor dents at base of spout, a non-structural split in wooden handle. Clear hallmarks on base and with original assay office's silver testing scrape marks...

Double ended Victorian scent bottle of faceted ruby colored glass with gold filled, foliate engraved metal end caps. The bottle is divided at the midpoint to form two separate scent vials. One end has a cap that opens with a button and hinge, while the other has a screw cap of similar appearance. Engraved initial 'B' on caps. Circa 1880s. Unmarked, but probably English. No internal stopper. Condition is excellent with no chips or cracks or dents (one cap fitting is slightly loose)...
