French sewing etui fashioned in the form of a jade glass egg with gilt brass mounts, including the original sterling silver sewing tools: thimble, needle case, stiletto, scissors, and bodkin. The etui is suspended from a brass chain with finger ring. 19th century. Size: 3 inches length x 2 inches diameter. Condition: some wear to gilding on brass mounts. All tools are original with sterling handles, each bearing tiny French guarantee hallmarks. There is some rust to the steel portions of the stiletto and scissors, and some denting to the original sterling thimble.
