Diana Leaving the Bath (Diane Sortant du Bain), after Francois Boucher (French, 1703-1770). Oil on canvas. 2nd half 19th century. Offered in an antique tin over wood frame. This is an unsigned 19th century copy of the Francois Boucher original that was acquired by The Louvre, in Paris, in 1852. This copy was probably created within twenty-five years after Boucher painted his original.

A large Hudson River school Luminist landscape painting in a very ornate carved gilt wood frame. Unsigned. Oil on canvas. 2nd half 19th century. Canvas size: 30 inches x 42 inches. A dramatic canvas in the Luminist style, with a dark, rocky pond in the foreground and a distant mountainous skyline glowing in shades of pink and yellow from the light of a setting sun. A painting from the China Trade school depicting modest homes along a coastal estuary, together with the local inhabitants and a 'junk' at anchor. Offered in a black and gold wood frame and retaining a Quester Gallery label, Stonington, CT. Professionally restored and relined on a new stretcher.
