Brass open work basket hilt with original fish skin grip wrapped in copper wire, and the steel blade engraved and inlaid in gold with emblems of a coronet, a Highlander, and crossed cannons. Rare pair of Scottish sterling silver spurs from the Georgian period, bearing hallmarks for Edinburgh, 1813, maker N&G. These spurs are decorated with gadrooning and retain their original silver buckles and leather straps (not pictured). Condition is excellent, apart from two broken teeth on one of the iron rowels. Scottish three-piece sterling silver tea service, Edinburgh. 1824-25. Maker's mark CB, for Charles Bendy, known for his decanter labels, ladles and tea pots. Weight: 49.8 troy ounces. A rare set of compressed globular form resting on round, stepped pedestal bases. The gadrooned bodies are accented with decorative acanthus rims and handles, and the open sugar bowl and milk jug retain an original gilt wash to their interiors. No monograms or erasures. No dents or dings...
