A French Manche a Gigot bone holder used to secure a leg of lamb or mutton while carving. The handle bears the French guarantee mark of the first silver standard (.950) and the holder, with its crown shaped terminal and trefoil screw, is of silverplated steel. Circa 1860-80. Excellent condition. Length: 8 3/8 inches.

Staffordshire pottery cottage bank, 19th century, with applied floral garland around door. Size: 4.5" ht. x 4.25" wide x 2.25" deep. Overall crazing to glaze, and a more pronounced craze line encircling one of the chimney bases, though it does not appear to be a crack. Some damage to two of the applied flowers surrounding the door.

Historical Staffordshire dark blue covered sugar bowl with transfer of Washington at Mount Vernon. Unmarked, early 19th century. Condition: light staining to interior of bowl and some minor glaze roughness; professional restoration to cover, not visible from exterior but showing under black light and with some color variation to the inside of the cover (see photo). Rare John Wendt Medallion pattern sterling cream dipper, marked BALL, BLACK & CO. 925 PATENT. Wendt did not hallmark his silver, but many of his pieces bear these stamps. Scarce Chrysanthemum pattern sterling silver porringer by Tiffany and Co. Circa 1899-1900. This porringer was manufactured while Charles L. Tiffany was president of the company. Size: 8 7/8" x 5 1/4" diameter. 1 Pint capacity. Excellent condition, no monogram. Carved ivory handle with chrysanthemum motif, which matches the applied silver chrysanthemum decoration to the rim of the porringer.

American figural cow weathervane, probably Cushing and White, Waltham, Massachusetts. Circa 1880-1890. Size: 26.5 inches length x 16 inches height. A full copper body and cast zinc head of classic form with wonderfully delineated lines. Gilt over original gilt surface, with some verdigris. Overall excellent condition; no restoration to the body. Cushing and White made these models with or without udders. Provenance: private collection, Chatham, New York.

Mt. Washington Glass Works Crown Milano glass cracker biscuit jar of ribbed, melon form in a satin finish with a buff color shading to orange and with hand painted oak leaf decoration. The collar, swing handle and cover are of pewter. Condition is excellent with no chips or cracks to the glass and the decoration is crisp. The cover is Mt. Washington and is stamped "MW 537," however, there is some play in its fitting, and it may be a marriage from another jar...
