Early American Chippendale tall chest, Pennsylvania origin. Circa 1760-1780. Size: 64 1/2 inches ht. x 45 3/8 inches wide x 23 1/2 inches deep. Figured walnut. This chest has three horizontally positioned top drawers above five finely graduated drawers, flanked with fluted quarter columns, and supported on ogee form bracket feet. Older replaced oval brass bail pulls. Excellent antique condition.

New England antique Queen Anne/Chippendale transitional tiger maple tall chest. Circa 1760. Size: 39 inches wide x 54.5 inches ht. x 18.75 inches deep. A diminutive sized early American tall chest with two drawers over 5 graduated drawers, retaining the original Queen Anne brass pulls, and supported on a bracket base with scrolled profile. Excellent condition.

An attractive New England Queen Anne period six-drawer tall chest on frame in birdseye and curly maple. Circa 1760. Size: 61.75 in. ht. x 44 in. width x 20 in. depth. Chippendale style brasses are later replacements. Some professional repairs. A beautiful chest.

Early American New England Queen Anne six-drawer tall chest. Circa 1760. Size: 47.75 in. tall x 39 in. wide x 19 in. deep. An attractive small-size early Queen Anne era maple, cherry and chestnut tall chest with 6 finely graduated drawers supported on a bracket base. Brass pulls are old replacements. Mellow surface, some restoration to drawer lips.

An early Windsor diminutive size bench or settee. Circa 1810. Size: 40 in. length x 31.5 in. ht. x 20 in. deep. A rare size and with fine faux bamboo turned spindles to back and arms, and with a single board pine plank seat.

A rare and early chalk ware figure of a resting spaniel with finely molded detailing, glass eyes and the original finish. Circa 1870's to 1890's. Size: 16 inches long x 4 inches high x 11 inches deep. A few minor chips to the underside, not visible on the exterior, and minor scuffing consistent with the age.

Rare three-legged turned chair. English. Circa 1610-1650. The three-legged version is the earliest form of turned chair, sometimes referred to as a "Turner's chair." All of the parts are turned on a lathe, except for the seat which is let into the supporting seat rails. These chairs first appeared in England and the Continent in the 16th century and continued to be in fashion until about 1660...

A wonderfully ornate English sterling silver teapot, London, 1838, maker BD (possibly Benjamin Reese Dexter). Dating from the beginning of Queen Victoria's reign, this tea pot is embossed with scroll and acanthus leaf decoration on the compressed body & spout, and rests on four shell feet. The finial on the lid is in the form of a flower. All of the silver components are stamped with matching hallmarks. Size: 11.75" length x 6.75" diameter x 5.75" ht. Weight of silver: 23 troy ounces...

'The Temptation of St. Anthony' by Edouard De Beaumont (French, 1821-1888), oil on canvas. Circa 1850s-1860s. Size: 30 inches x 20 inches. Charles Edouard de Beaumont was son of the sculptor, Jean-Baptiste Beaumont, and Charles studied under the artist Boisselier. He was primarily a lithographer but also painted in oils, and founded the Society of Watercolourists in 1879. Offered in an antique gilt wood frame. Signed in the lower left. Painting has been professionally restored and relined.

Gilded sterling silver anointing spoon commemorating the coronation of King Edward VII, London, 1902, by Cornelius Saunders and James Shepherd. Size: 6.75 inches length. This spoon is designed after the 12th century anointing spoon of Henry II, currently in the English Royal Collection. Condition: very good and retaining most of the original gilding.

"Afternoon Birches" autumnal landscape painting by Emile Albert Gruppe (American, 1896-1978), oil on canvas, circa. 1950s. This colorful and warm northern Vermont scene was probably painted near Jeffersonville, VT. It is titled and signed at the top of the stretcher and also signed in the lower right, Emile A. Gruppe. The painting is in excellent original condition with no in-painting or repairs and is offered in what is probably the original frame. Canvas size: 24" x 20".

George I style sterling silver sugar caster, London, 1908, manufactured by the Gold and Silversmiths Company Ltd., of octagonal baluster form and with an intricately pierced top. Size: 6.5 inches ht. Weight - 4 troy ounces. Condition: very good, no monogram, with only a tiny ding to body (see photo detail), no wobble, stamped with a complete set of matching hallmarks on the body and on the cover and with manufacturer's full name struck on underside of base.
