Early American Chippendale tall chest, Pennsylvania origin. Circa 1760-1780. Size: 64 1/2 inches ht. x 45 3/8 inches wide x 23 1/2 inches deep. Figured walnut. This chest has three horizontally positioned top drawers above five finely graduated drawers, flanked with fluted quarter columns, and supported on ogee form bracket feet. Older replaced oval brass bail pulls. Excellent antique condition.

A wonderfully ornate English sterling silver teapot, London, 1838, maker BD (possibly Benjamin Reese Dexter). Dating from the beginning of Queen Victoria's reign, this tea pot is embossed with scroll and acanthus leaf decoration on the compressed body & spout, and rests on four shell feet. The finial on the lid is in the form of a flower. All of the silver components are stamped with matching hallmarks. Size: 11.75" length x 6.75" diameter x 5.75" ht. 'The Temptation of St. Anthony' by Edouard De Beaumont (French, 1821-1888), oil on canvas. Circa 1850s-1860s. Size: 30 inches x 20 inches. Charles Edouard de Beaumont was son of the sculptor, Jean-Baptiste Beaumont, and Charles studied under the artist Boisselier. He was primarily a lithographer but also painted in oils, and founded the Society of Watercolourists in 1879. Offered in an antique gilt wood frame. Signed in the lower left. Weight - 4 troy ounces.
