A pair of porcelain covered sauce tureens with under plates from a dessert service. Circa 1815-1820. These English porcelain tureens are richly decorated with gilt scrolls and hand painted summer flowers. They are unmarked, but are possibly either Spode or Coalport. Condition of the tureens is excellent, though there is considerable wear to the decoration on the under plates. No chips, cracks or restoration. An unusually small-sized Hepplewhite, Federal mahogany server with one-drawer and retaining its original brass knobs. C.1800-1815. Size: 29.25 inches length x 20 inches depth x 29.5 inches ht. Delicately tapered legs. Featuring a tiger maple applied decorative trim molding to top. Some stains and discoloration to top. See photos.

George III round waiter or card tray in sterling silver, London, 1802, by silversmith Thomas Wallis. Size: 6 inches diameter. No monogram 5.1 troy ounces/ 159 grams. No repairs, slight ripple in top commensurate with age and which does not detract from the appearance.

Georgian Old Sheffield plate silver chamberstick with original bobeche and snuffer. Silver fused to copper. Late 18th or early 19th century. Size: 5.75" diameter x 4" ht. Very good condition with no rosing. Date of 1715 is engraved inside the candle nozzle. This date is too early to be a date of manufacture, so was either added at a later date or commemorates an earlier date, such as a birth date.

Georgian sterling silver mug by Peter and William Bateman, London, 1808; maker's mark overstruck by that of George Gray. The Batemans were one of the most famous families of English silversmiths in the 18th and early 19th centuries. This baluster form mug has a leaf capped double scroll handle and rests of a spreading circular foot. Full set of clear hallmarks below the rim to the side of the handle...

New England Federal bow-front chest with strongly figured tiger maple drawer fronts. Circa 1810-1820. Probably Massachusetts origin. Dimensions: 41.25 inches wide (40 inch case) x 21 inches deep x 35.25 inches high. This Hepplewhite maple chest has four graduated drawers veneered in tiger maple, and retaining the original stamped brass oval pulls with eagle motifs. Pair English George III knife boxes in Hepplewhite style. Circa 1800. Each box veneered in figured mahogany with boxwood stringing and serpentine shaped fronts. The sloping hinged lids are adorned with marquetry ovals depicting a dove on an olive branch on a hardwood ground. These boxes retain their internal cutlery dividers and have a star inlaid inside the lids. The boxes are in very good condition with some old veneer repair...

A New England Queen Anne highboy, circa 1750, in cherry, being a marriage of a period base with a period top. The proportions and color of the two components mesh very nicely, though the secondary woods differ, white pine versus chestnut. Found in a New Hampshire home. Refinished and with replaced brasses, otherwise in fine condition, without further restoration. Dimensions: 77 3/8" height x 38 1/2" width x 19 1/4" depth.

George III two handled sterling silver cup by silversmith John Langlands I, Newcastle, 1769. Size: 5 inches ht. x 7.5 inches wide x 4 inches diameter; 10.43 troy ounces. John Langlands came from a noted family of plate makers. The cup has two opposing scroll handles, each of which bears the18th century owners' engraved, shaded block initials - M*M and M.W. The body of the cup is encircled with an applied girdle and is supported on a circular, raised dome foot...

A rare sterling silver rococo punch strainer by the famous Huguenot silversmith Paul de Lamerie, London, 1742. The round bowl of this strainer is finely pierced in a petal motif and is supported by opposing acanthus scroll and shell design handles. The strainer is hallmarked on the exterior of the bowl, just below the rim, with a complete set of marks including de Lamerie's third mark (PL in script beneath a crown). This strainer is in good condition and weighs a substantial 5.49 troy ounces...

Early American Queen Anne highboy. Coastal New Hampshire origin. Circa1760. A two part highboy in figured maple, with white pine secondary wood. The upper case with five long, graduated drawers over a lower case with two long drawers and an attractively shaped skirt and supported on four cabriole legs on pad feet. The exterior exhibits an old, mellow refinish and the brasses are original. No other repairs or restoration. Size: 75 1/4 inches ht. x 38 1/8 inches wide x 19 inches deep.

An attractive New Hampshire Chippendale era tall chest with six finely graduated drawers, which retain their original brass bail handles and which exhibit an attractive molded edge to the drawer sides. Basket-hilt officer's sword with inlaid blade, Scottish, 1796 pattern. 18th century. Brass open work basket hilt with original fish skin grip wrapped in copper wire, and the steel blade engraved and inlaid in gold with emblems of a coronet, a Highlander, and crossed cannons. Excellent condition apart form some wear to the grip. Overall length: 39.25". Blade length: 33.5"

Early American Chippendale tall chest, Pennsylvania origin. Circa 1760-1780. Size: 64 1/2 inches ht. x 45 3/8 inches wide x 23 1/2 inches deep. Figured walnut. This chest has three horizontally positioned top drawers above five finely graduated drawers, flanked with fluted quarter columns, and supported on ogee form bracket feet. Older replaced oval brass bail pulls. Excellent antique condition.

Georgian physician's blood letting set including a silver mounted green shagreen case with hinged top, complete with its four original thumb lancets, each with a triangular steel blade housed in hinged tortoiseshell protective guards.
