A Chinese Export porcelain soup plate made for the English market. Chia Ch'ing, c.1800. This plate is decorated with a double banded underglaze blue border with spearheads and diapers, and with a central family armorial, painted in polychrome enamels, of the arms of Thomas Snodgrass, who was in the service of the East India Company, of Madras and Blackheath in Kent. He was granted these arms in 1799...

Tiffany & Co. English King large sugar sifter ladle, sterling silver with gilded, pierced bowl. Patented 1885. Size: 7" length. Excellent condition, retaining most of the original gilding of the bowl. No monogram, no damage or repairs. Crisp design. Circa 1885-1891 (Edward Moore's directorship of the company).

Pierre-Auguste Renoir (French, 1841-1919), Le Chapeau Epingle ('The Pinned Hat'), drypoint etching, originally published in 1894. This version is a later posthumous restrike. Signed in the plate. The two girl models are known to have been Julie Manet, the daughter of Berthe Morisot and niece of Eduard Manet, and her cousin, Paulette Gobillard. Plate size: 4.5" x 3.25". A nice strong image, printed on light cream paper. Excellent condition...

A most unusual piece of Dartmouth College memorabilia from the Class of 1948. This double sided mahogany book stand was a gift to Dartmouth College library from the Class of 1948; sold together with a paperback "Dartmouth College" booklet.

American Revolutionary War era military style wooden canteen. 19th century. Oak hand carved staves held together by four horizontal hand forged iron bands and two vertical bands; two iron rings and hand forged nails. A keg form canteen with two holes in the top; and with two iron carrying rings for a sling. Condition is very good; the upper most iron band is loose. Dimensions: 8" high x 8.5" wide x 5" deep.

Unusual silver plated kerosene oil lamp with bright cut, hand engraved decoration. Wick adjustment knob marked The Silberlight Co., London, Manufactured in Germany. 19th century. There is a heart shaped maker's stamp on the cross shaped brace on the underside of the base. Size: 7 1/8 inches height x 4.5 inches diameter. Includes an amber glass ruffled chimney. A pair of Georgian silver table spoons by Hester Bateman, the famous female smith who has been called the "Queen of English Silversmiths." London, 1776-1777. Length: 8.25 inches. These are in the Old English pattern with down turned handles engraved with their original family crest of a rising eagle with wings inverted on a mural coronet.
