Aesthetic style coin silver octagonal bowl by William Forbes for the famous firm of Ball, Tomkins and Black, New York. Circa 1845. This bowl was probably originally part of a tea and coffee service. It weighs a substantial 12.92 troy ounces and measures 3.5 inches ht. x 5.75 inches diameter. It is beautifully engraved with chinoiserie decoration, using stylized Chinese pagodas and scrolling foliage. One panel is engraved with the family monogram 'MEW.' Excellent condition.

Rare John Wendt Medallion pattern sterling cream dipper, marked BALL, BLACK & CO. 925 PATENT. Wendt did not hallmark his silver, but many of his pieces bear these stamps. The handle end bears a medallion with a helmeted Greek warrior in profile, and the bucket-form bowl retains its original gilding. Circa 1865. Size: 6.5 inches. A grouping of Imari pattern Ironstone china by G.L. Ashworth Bros. English. Circa 1862-1891. Included are six dinner plates (10 in.), two soup plates (10 in.), and a large 19 in. oval serving platter. These total 9 pieces. The decoration is hand colored, and the two soup plates have a different coloring to the central design than the other pieces. The platter measures 15 in. x 19 in.

Rare early spoon showing the transition of styles from the trefid to dognose. The dognose form is so called because of the shape of the end of the handle, also sometimes referred to as 'wavy end.' Rare Gorham Arts & Crafts sterling silver sauce gravy ladle in a hammered surface and with mixed metals design on the handle of two cherries, leaf and twig in bronze, and with a second leaf in gilded silver. Circa 1885. Excellent condition. Marks: stamped with the Gorham logo (lion, anchor, G) "sterling & other metals", and with the name of the retailer George H. Ford. Size: 6" length.

An English Victorian claret jug in cut crystal mounted with a sterling silver handle and spout with hinged cover. Fully hallmarked on the silver neck for Birmingham, 1892, by Vale Brothers & Sermon. Size: 8.5" ht. x 5.5" x 4.5". Condition: No chips, cracks, dents, or repairs. Crystal is clear apart from some slight cloudiness on the very bottom of the jug (which might be removed with soaking).

Vintage Ship's Bell brass clock by Chelsea mounted in its original mahogany wooden cradle. Made for Abercrombie and Fitch and so marked on the silvered dial. Eight-day movement, with key. Pre WWII origin. Size: 9.5 inches H x 8.5 inches W. Running condition. As found finish, ready for professional polishing, if so desired.

Tiffany and Co. sterling silver pierced sugar sifter spoon in strawberry vine pattern. Circa 1891-1902. Manufactured during the directorship of Charles Tiffany and stamped on the base of the handle. Size: This is the large size version measuring 5 3/8 inches in length. Monogrammed inside the pierced bowl. 1.36 troy ounces. Excellent condition. Would also serve nicely as a tea strainer because of the fine piercing.

Large English Victorian sarcophagus form tea caddy, fashioned of rosewood veneers with mother-of-pearl floral inlay to cover and front, resting on compressed ball feet. Two lidded interior tea storage compartments with traces of original tinning, but missing the original glass mixing bowl. Mid 19th century. Very nice condition, with some minor chipping at corners, tight crack on back, and with some inlay missing on cover and escutcheon. Size: 12 3/8" long x 6 1/4" deep x 7 1/2" high.

American document box with folk art inlaid design. Mahogany. Mid 19 century. A ripple edge molding adorns all edges as well as the base of this box. The top and sides are decorated with contrasting light and dark wood inlays, including a compass point and six stars on the lid and a heart and scroll design to the front. Size: 14 3/8 inches length x 8 7/8 inches depth x 6 inches height. Condition: some loss to the ripple molding. From a Woodstock, Vermont residence.

Rare pair of Scottish sterling silver spurs from the Georgian period, bearing hallmarks for Edinburgh, 1813, maker N&G. These spurs are decorated with gadrooning and retain their original silver buckles and leather straps (not pictured). Condition is excellent, apart from two broken teeth on one of the iron rowels.
