Mt. Washington Glass Works Crown Milano glass cracker biscuit jar of ribbed, melon form in a satin finish with a buff color shading to orange and with hand painted oak leaf decoration. The collar, swing handle and cover are of pewter. Condition is excellent with no chips or cracks to the glass and the decoration is crisp. The cover is Mt. Washington and is stamped "MW 537," however, there is some play in its fitting, and it may be a marriage from another jar...
Basket-hilt officer's sword with inlaid blade, Scottish, 1796 pattern. 18th century. Brass open work basket hilt with original fish skin grip wrapped in copper wire, and the steel blade engraved and inlaid in gold with emblems of a coronet, a Highlander, and crossed cannons. Excellent condition apart form some wear to the grip. Overall length: 39.25". Blade length: 33.5"
Set of twelve Copeland's Spode porcelain dessert plates with pink glazed borders and floral bouquet centers (each plate is decorated with an individual floral arrangement). Pattern #4375. Made for retailer Tatman of Chicago, with date codes for 1927, and with one plate being a later replacement, bearing a date code for 1938 and signed by the artist P. Hall. Size: 9" diameter. Condition: excellent, except for a rim chip to the underside of the rim of one plate.
English George III rectangular tea caddy in satinwood veneer. Circa 1790. The front and lid are adorned with oval fan paterae inlaid with harewood and the edges have ebonized stringing. Lenticular bone keyhole escutcheon. The interior dividers have been removed and the box is lined with red velvet. Original hinges and lock. Condition: very good overall with some fine hairlines in the veneer and with two areas of minor damage to the ebonized stringing at the two front corners of the lid...
French art glass pate-de-verre bumble bee ring dish by Almeric Walter, Nancy, circa 1920's. Designed by Henri Berge. Size: 3 7/8 inches length x 2 3/8 inches width x 1 1/8 inches height. A boat shaped frosted glass dish shading to yellow and green, adorned with a three dimensional figure of a bumble bee resting on the rim. Excellent condition. Signed: Berge SC. A. Hepplewhite period mahogany bow front chest with four graduated drawers, New England origin, c.1790-1800. Size: 40.75 inches wide x 22.25 inches deep x 36.5 inches high. Original brasses. Each drawer is veneered in book matched crotch mahogany with satinwood cross banding. The high French feet flank a scrolled apron with checkered inlay. Old refinish.
