A scarce Arts & Crafts style silver serving spoon by Richard Blanchard, hand wrought in sterling. Circa 1910-1920. Richard Blanchard was the son of George Porter Blanchard who worked with Arthur Stone. Richard first applied his craft in Boston where he was listed as a Member of the Society of Arts and Crafts, Boston, from 1913-1921. In 1925 Richard Blanchard moved to Burbank, California, where he entered into partnership with his brother, Porter Blanchard. Richard produced silver in Burbank until 1930. Silver by Richard Blanchard is quite scarce. This spoon has a hammered bowl and is engraved on the reverse of the handle with the initials B over K*M. Excellent condition. Stamped on the reverse of the stem "Richard Blanchard" "Hand wrought" "Sterling". Size: 8.5" length.
