A very rare Czech art pottery wall plaque designed by Karl Grossl in 1934 and stamped on the reverse FBS within a circle, Made In Czechoslovakia, and numbered 157-10P. Probably by the Keramia Company. Featured in Wondermasken book. The plaque is fashioned of terracotta and covered in a turquoise glaze. The relief female mask is in black with a colored rose. Size: 10" high x 10.5" wide. This is possibly a prototype as only 10 were made. Excellent condition. We also are offering a similar mate to this plaque with a different female mask.
