Connecticut Queen Anne era highboy, circa 1760s-70s. Cherry/pine. Size: 35 inches wide x 69 inches high x 19 inches deep. A New England 18th century 2-part flat top highboy. The upper chest has five drawers, including one with fan carving, above four graduated drawers; while the base displays a single long drawer over three drawers, with the central drawer front carved with a fan. The case is supported on delicate cabriole legs with pad feet. The apron of the base is ornamented with a complex carved scroll design. Brasses are older replacements.
