A vintage English cut crystal dresser or powder jar on a pedestal foot with a sterling silver cover decorated with engine turning. There is a mirror affixed into the underside of the cover that can be used when applying powder or make-up. Birmingham assay, 1947, by F.H. Adams and Holman. Size: 3.5 inches diameter X 4.5 inches ht. Excellent condition with no chips to the glass. Only a slight ding to the rim of the sterling cover where it fits over the glass neck (this actually helps to secure the cover firmly in place and does not detract from the appearance of this item.) No monogram. The crystal is decorated with two bands of diamond cutting, around the middle of the jar and around the base of the pedestal foot.
