Mark A. Tougias (American, 1957 - present) painting titled 'Stowe View' (Vermont). Oil on canvas. Size: 16 inches x 20 inches. Signed in lower left and titled on reverse. Offered in a contemporary gilt wood frame. Excellent condition. Mark Tougias was born in Springfield, Massachusetts in 1957. He is self-taught and is known for his plein air landscapes of the New England countryside and for his tonal styles. He has exhibited widely throughout New England and has painted and traveled extensively throughout Europe. Most of his landscapes are of scenes in Vermont and upstate New York., He is a member of the Southern Vermont Art Center and the North Shore Artists Association in Gloucester, MA.
