Paul B. Pascal (French, 1832-1903) gouache on paper landscape of Arabs in the Sahara Desert with pyramids and ruined temple. Dated 1902. Size: 9.5 inches x 17 inches (sight). Condition: some light scratches in sky and a one and a half inch tear at the right margin (see photo detail.) Paul Pascal was an artist who specialized in Orientalist paintings. He worked almost exclusively in gouache and watercolor, and his favorite subjects were the nomadic Arabs of north Africa...

A large Hudson River school Luminist landscape painting in a very ornate carved gilt wood frame. Unsigned. Oil on canvas. 2nd half 19th century. Canvas size: 30 inches x 42 inches. A dramatic canvas in the Luminist style, with a dark, rocky pond in the foreground and a distant mountainous skyline glowing in shades of pink and yellow from the light of a setting sun. The frame bears a Philadelphia framer's label on the reverse...

A full-length portrait of a young girl standing on a balcony painted by the prominent American artist Arthur Bowen Davies. Offered in a period gilt wood frame. Davies was born in Utica, New York, and began drawing at an early age. When he relocated to Chicago, he attended the Art Institute of Chicago and later the Art Students League in New York City...

China Trade painting - "Coastal Village Scene With Anchored Junk". Oil on canvas. Circa: late 19th C. Size: 17 3/4 inches x 23 1/2 inches. Unsigned. A painting from the China Trade school depicting modest homes along a coastal estuary, together with the local inhabitants and a 'junk' at anchor. Offered in a black and gold wood frame and retaining a Quester Gallery label, Stonington, CT. Professionally restored and relined on a new stretcher.

Signed by artist in the lower left and on the reverse of the canvas. Condition: one small old repair to a puncture in the sky, with minor touch-ups. Offered in an antique silver leaf frame. Wesley Webber was a 19th century painter of landscapes and marine subjects in New England...

Diana Leaving the Bath (Diane Sortant du Bain), after Francois Boucher (French, 1703-1770). Oil on canvas. 2nd half 19th century. Offered in an antique tin over wood frame. This is an unsigned 19th century copy of the Francois Boucher original that was acquired by The Louvre, in Paris, in 1852. This copy was probably created within twenty-five years after Boucher painted his original.
