English Arts and Crafts era hall tree, Shepherd and Hedger, Southampton. Circa 1900. All original with round, tilting beveled glass mirror, metal coat hooks (4 large, 2 small and 2 swivel), two umbrella/cane holders with carved barley twist front supports and tin drip pans, lift-up seat with storage beneath, and decorative beading. Size: 77" ht. x 45" wide x 13" deep. Original maker's label on reverse. Excellent condition.

Unusual silver plated kerosene oil lamp with bright cut, hand engraved decoration. Wick adjustment knob marked The Silberlight Co., London, Manufactured in Germany. 19th century. There is a heart shaped maker's stamp on the cross shaped brace on the underside of the base. Size: 7 1/8 inches height x 4.5 inches diameter. Includes an amber glass ruffled chimney. This bowl was manufactured in London in 1784 by the famous partnership of silversmiths Daniel Smith and Robert Sharp, who produced silver for the firm of Parker and Wakelin, the Royal Goldsmiths who provided silver for the Prince of Wales and for much of the nobility of England. Aesthetic style coin silver octagonal bowl by William Forbes for the famous firm of Ball, Tomkins and Black, New York. Circa 1845. This bowl was probably originally part of a tea and coffee service. It weighs a substantial 12.92 troy ounces and measures 3.5 inches ht. x 5.75 inches diameter. It is beautifully engraved with chinoiserie decoration, using stylized Chinese pagodas and scrolling foliage. One panel is engraved with the family monogram 'MEW.' Excellent condition.

Figural cow creamer, 800 silver, German, late 19th century. This heavy silver creamer is fashioned in the form of a cow with horns and with a curled tail that serves as the handle. A hinged cover adorned with a fly on the cow's back is used to fill the creamer, and the cream is poured from the cow's mouth. Size: 3 3/4 inches ht. x 5 3/8 inches length x 2 inches depth. 4.76 troy ounces. Condition: one of the cow's legs is bent, but the creamer rests firmly on a table without any wobble...

George III two handled sterling silver cup by silversmith John Langlands I, Newcastle, 1769. Size: 5 inches ht. x 7.5 inches wide x 4 inches diameter; 10.43 troy ounces. John Langlands came from a noted family of plate makers. The cup has two opposing scroll handles, each of which bears the18th century owners' engraved, shaded block initials - M*M and M.W. The body of the cup is encircled with an applied girdle and is supported on a circular, raised dome foot...

A Russian silver mug engraved with two town scenes by Moscow silversmith M. Dimitriyev (1854-1877), dated 1869, assayer Viktor Savinkov. Excellent condition with gilded interior. Size: 3 3/4 inches ht. x 2 5/8 inches diameter. Silver standard: 84 zolotniks (.875 pure silver).

Double ended Victorian scent bottle of faceted ruby colored glass with gold filled, foliate engraved metal end caps. The bottle is divided at the midpoint to form two separate scent vials. One end has a cap that opens with a button and hinge, while the other has a screw cap of similar appearance. Engraved initial 'B' on caps. Circa 1880s. Unmarked, but probably English. No internal stopper. Condition is excellent with no chips or cracks or dents (one cap fitting is slightly loose)...

A delightful portrayal of an English walled garden with dappled sunlight by this East Hampton, New York artist. Member: American Society of Marine Artists. Excellent condition.

Concert 8 Model upright piano by C. Bechstein, Berlin, Germany. Serial No. 187433. Beautiful rosewood, with burl. Dimensions: 131 cms. ht. x 154 cms. width x 62 cms. depth. Purchased in 2002 (manufactured in 2000). Condition: wonderful playing condition, with a beautiful tone; chip to the block beneath the lowest E key of the keyboard (see photos), and some minor blemishes on the left end. This piano is an excellent value, priced at a fraction of the new retail price which approaches $30,000...

Georgian sterling silver teapot, London, 1784, by famous silversmith Robert Hennell. This pot has shaped sides with bright cut and beaded decoration to the cover and top portion. Wooden scroll handle and ebony finial. Condition: some old repairs to the underside seam on the bottom, minor dents at base of spout, a non-structural split in wooden handle. Pair of English George I table spoons in the Hanoverian pattern with rat tail bowls, London, 1716 - 1717, Britannia standard (95.84% pure silver), with indistinct maker's marks. Length: 8 inches. These early Georgian tablespoons have a pronounced midrib to the front of the handles and are engraved with owner's block shaded initials R*C over earlier erased initials. They are bottom marked on the stem with hallmarks that include the date letter for 1716-1717, a seated Britannia and Lion's head...

Legible hallmarks struck under base. Size: 6 1/4" across handles x 3 3/4" high x 3 5/8" diameter. Excellent condition with no repairs or erasures. Weight: 5.47 troy ounces

Marguerite Elizabeth Kumm (American, 1902-1992) painting of two seated dancers in black dresses. Oil on canvasboard. Circa 1930. Size: 19.75 inches x 15.75 inches. Unsigned, but with pencil inscription on reverse,"M.E.Kumm" and with provenance from the artist's estate, and then deaccessioned by Georgetown University in 1996. Excellent condition. Offered in a gilt wood frame.

Large English Victorian sarcophagus form tea caddy, fashioned of rosewood veneers with mother-of-pearl floral inlay to cover and front, resting on compressed ball feet. Two lidded interior tea storage compartments with traces of original tinning, but missing the original glass mixing bowl. Mid 19th century. Very nice condition, with some minor chipping at corners, tight crack on back, and with some inlay missing on cover and escutcheon. Size: 12 3/8" long x 6 1/4" deep x 7 1/2" high.

Worcester Barr, Flight & Barr period porcelain tea cup and saucer in Queen Charlotte or whorl pattern. Circa 1792-1803. Impressed on underside with letter "B" and with British Antique Dealers' Association (BADA) labels of authenticity. Excellent condition with no chips, cracks or repairs; only some rubbing to gilding on rims.
