The pedestal is in the form of a tree trunk supported on three branches, on which a large bear is climbing. This bear is realistically modeled, with glass eyes, and has a hinged head that reveals a cigar humidor inside. A Norwegian tea strainer by the noted silversmith David Andersen. The gilded sterling strainer is adorned in blue enamel with white beaded jewels and is stamped on the reverse with "925" and with the Andersen mark for the period 1924-1939. Size: 4 3/4" length x 2 7/8 inches diameter. Great condition, with a very minor ding to underside of the silver rim and with some bruising to a few of the white jewels, but nothing that detracts from the beauty of this decorative item by this great designe...

Ornate plique a jour translucent enamel coffee spoon in unmarked gilt silver. Probably Norwegian. Early 20th century. The bowl decorated in polychrome enamels with a blue enamel border and with a foliate and berry center that mirrors the floral enamel finial.
