English George III rectangular tea caddy in satinwood veneer. Circa 1790. The front and lid are adorned with oval fan paterae inlaid with harewood and the edges have ebonized stringing. Lenticular bone keyhole escutcheon. The interior dividers have been removed and the box is lined with red velvet. Original hinges and lock. Condition: very good overall with some fine hairlines in the veneer and with two areas of minor damage to the ebonized stringing at the two front corners of the lid...

Cutlery urns became popular in the late 18th century as decorations to grace the dining-room sideboard, and their popularity continued throughout the Victorian era. In this example, the cover may be raised on a central support and held in place by a brass button catch. Rare dancing Harlequin candle snuffer cast in sterling silver, London, 1894-95, maker's mark 'M.F.' The harlequin figure is holding a pair of snake form rings above his head. Harlequin sugar tongs or nips are uncommon, however, the harlequin candle snuffers are extremely scarce. They are distinguished from the sugar nips by the fact that the leaf grips are flat and set slightly at an angle to properly extinguish the flame of a candle...

Birch with cherry drawer fronts cross-banded in mahogany and with line inlay. Cookie corner top above delicately turned and reeded legs with high feet and a shaped apron. Burgoyne A. Diller (1906-1965), untitled abstract and geometric mixed media drawing. Graphite and crayon on tissue paper. Initialed 'd' and dated '52' (1952.) This drawing bears exhibition labels from the Walker Art Center of Minneapolis, MN, the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, as well as from Noah Goldowsky, Inc. Fine Arts, of New York. Condition is very good. Size: 15.25 inches x 8 inches (sight). Burgoyne Diller is considered to have been the pioneer of 'minimalism' in America.

Ceramic with green and black oxidized paraffin decoration of a Picador with lance astride his horse. The bull fighting theme was a favorite of Picasso and reminded him of his Spanish heritage.
