'The Temptation of St. Anthony' by Edouard De Beaumont (French, 1821-1888), oil on canvas. Circa 1850s-1860s. Size: 30 inches x 20 inches. Charles Edouard de Beaumont was son of the sculptor, Jean-Baptiste Beaumont, and Charles studied under the artist Boisselier. He was primarily a lithographer but also painted in oils, and founded the Society of Watercolourists in 1879. Offered in an antique gilt wood frame. Signed in the lower left. Painting has been professionally restored and relined.

Excellent condition with no chips, cracks, staining or restoration, just some light crazing. Underglaze blue backstamp with pattern name and impressed "BB New Stone" (for Best Body ironstone).
Pair of patinated bronze argand lamps by John B. Jones of Boston, MA. Each lamp has a floral finial and an urn-form fluid reservoir. Circa 1830-40s. These lamps have been electrified but have not been drilled. One of the wheel-cut glass shades has a minor chip and line at the top rim. Dimensions: 19 inches ht. x 11 inches length x 5 inches depth. Double ended Victorian scent bottle of faceted ruby colored glass with gold filled, foliate engraved metal end caps. The bottle is divided at the midpoint to form two separate scent vials. One end has a cap that opens with a button and hinge, while the other has a screw cap of similar appearance. Engraved initial 'B' on caps. Circa 1880s. Unmarked, but probably English. No internal stopper. Condition is excellent with no chips or cracks or dents (one cap fitting is slightly loose)...

A large country hutch table with round 56 inches diameter pine top, that hinges upright on an oak chair base with seat and turned legs. Age: 19th century. Table top height - 29 3/4 inches. Pegged construction with removable top secured by wooden dowels. It is rare to find one of these chair tables with such a large diameter and with no restrictive stretcher base; great overhang. Will seat 6-8 people with comfort. Excellent condition.
