'On the Balcony' - by Arthur Bowen Davies (American, 1862-1928). Oil on artist board. Signed in lower left. Size: 16 inches x 12 inches. A full-length portrait of a young girl standing on a balcony painted by the prominent American artist Arthur Bowen Davies. Offered in a period gilt wood frame. Baccarat, France Art Deco style pendulette desk clock in sapphire blue crystal with molded floral design on the reverse. In the original box with papers. Quartz movement in running condition, and with the dial signed Baccarat. Late 20th century. Size: 3 inches ht. x 2 3/4 inches wide. Excellent condition, with no chips or cracks.

Nice estate ring - a vintage bicolor 14Kt gold basket weave ring, in white and yellow gold. Size: 6 1/2. Weight: 4 4 grams. 20th century.

Pair of English brass Georgian telescopic ejector candlesticks, c.1800. Size: 6.75" - 9.25" height x 3.5" x 3.5". Condition: Some tiny stress cracks to the top of the lower section of one candlestick (see photos detail). Also, one stick requires extra effort to get it to remain in the fully extended position and probably required some sort of new dampening material to keep it in place.

Cast bronze portrait bas relief plaque of New York stationer, William Makepeace Hastings (1831-1912). Dated 1910. Size: 15 in. x 10 in. Signed with a monogram (artist not identified by us).

China Trade painting - "Coastal Village Scene With Anchored Junk". Oil on canvas. Circa: late 19th C. Size: 17 3/4 inches x 23 1/2 inches. Unsigned. A painting from the China Trade school depicting modest homes along a coastal estuary, together with the local inhabitants and a 'junk' at anchor. Offered in a black and gold wood frame and retaining a Quester Gallery label, Stonington, CT. Professionally restored and relined on a new stretcher.

Early American coin silver chamberstick, probably upstate New York, Albany area. Circa: 1800-1820. This heavy chamberstick bears unidentified pseudo-hallmarks on the foot ring that are listed in J.R. McGrew's book on maker's marks as probably upstate New York. Missing the snuffer & some minor blemishes. The heavy silver nut on the base is over an iron nut, which is probably a later replacement. Size: 6" x 5 1/8" diameter x 3" ht.

American stoneware 2 gallon ovoid jug by Cowden and Wilcox, Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Circa 1865. Decorated with hand painted cobalt blue floral spray. Size: 14 in. ht. Very minor flake to top rim and a tight firing line to one side of top of handled (not damage but made during manufacturing) and fine tiny burst bubbles in cobalt glaze, also part of manufacturing process. Gilded sterling silver and blue enamel sauce ladle by David Andersen, the noted Norwegian silversmith and designer. Stamped on the reverse of the twisted handle '925' and with the mark used by David Andersen from 1924-1939. Size: 5.75 inches length. Condition: excellent, with no damage.

Coin silver sugar spoon by J.A. Horne, Dover, NH with fluted shell bowl, c.1850, bright-cut decoration to handle with engraved initial 'W' in a cartouche. Size: 6.25" length. Excellent condition.

Early American New England Chippendale era tall chest-on-chest. Circa 1770-1785. Cherry/pine secondary. Size: 68.25 inches ht. x 40 inches wide x 20 inches deep. This chest has an upper section with four graduated drawers, while the lower section has three similarly graduated drawers. The drawer fronts have a thumbnail molded edge. Connecticut Queen Anne era highboy, circa 1760s-70s. Cherry/pine. Size: 35 inches wide x 69 inches high x 19 inches deep. A New England 18th century 2-part flat top highboy. The upper chest has five drawers, including one with fan carving, above four graduated drawers; while the base displays a single long drawer over three drawers, with the central drawer front carved with a fan. Scheier Art pottery plate by Edwin and Mary Scheier in a mat mauve glaze with stylized decoration of two faces. Mint condition. Circa 1950. Size: 7 1/8 inches in diameter. Signed on the underside with an incised Scheier mark. Scheier Pottery was the result of a collaboration by the husband/wife team of ceramicists, Edwin Scheier and Mary Goldsmith. George III sterling silver mug, London, 1765, with tapering sides and featuring an acanthus leaf capped double scroll handle and a stepped base. Marks rubbed and maker's mark indistinct. No repairs or erasures. Size: 3 3/4 inches ht. X 4 1/4 inches across handle X 3 inches diameter. Condition: minor bruising to sides.

English lozenge-shaped porcelain serving dish from a dessert service, embellished with a wide, elaborate gilded scroll border surrounding a central hand painted bouquet of summer flowers. Unmarked. A large sterling silver trophy goblet for the Victoria Hotel Wolverton Billiard Handicap. London, 1901. by Robert Pringle and Sons. Size: 11 inches ht. Weight: 15.5 Troy ounces.
