James Dixon silver plated horseshoe inkwell, English

English novelty, figural horseshoe shaped inkstand by James Dixon and Son of Sheffield, fashioned in silverplate (EPNS) with a removable glass inkwell. 19th century. A wonderful desk accessory for the equestrian collector. Excellent original condition, with no chips, dents, cracks or restoration. Size: 4 7/8" wide x 5" deep x 2" high.
