| A rare French porcelain figural inkstand in the form of a grazing cow, 19th century. This inkstand has a removable inkwell and sander and is modeled in the form of a grazing cow, complete with horns and bell, decorated in polychrome enamels, with overglaze gilt accents. It bears a blue pseudo Sevres mark on the underside. Continental, probably of French origin. Professional restoration to horns; also, there is a tiny manufacturing line on the edge of the base (see photo detail). Size: 5.25" height x 8" length x 4" depth. A must have novelty for any serious collector of inkstands and inkwells. | ||
