| Excelsior mechanical cast iron bank with wooden monkey cashier by Hall. Patented in 1869 as the first mechanical cast iron bank. Wooden monkey cashier pops up from cupola to receive coin and then deposits it into the bank. It is unusual to find these banks with the monkey still intact. Retaining most of the original painted surface. Size: 5 inches ht. x 4 inches x 3 .75 inches. | ||
