| We offer a selection of English antique staddle stones for your garden. These mushroom shaped stones were originally the supports for English granary buildings, which served to elevate the structure above ground level, allowing for air circulation and preventing rodents from getting into the granary. Most date from the 18th or early 19th century. Each consists of a vertical base that supports a dome-shaped cap stone. Size: approx. 25" ht. x 18" diameter. Each staddle stone has its own special character, defined by its particular form and shape. These will serve as distinctive accents to a garden setting. | ||
