Georgian sterling silver sauce boat
A George III English sterling silver sauce boat, London, 1788, by Edward Fernell, bearing a clear set of hallmarks stamped on the under side. The vessel is adorned with a serrated rim and is supported on three hoof feet and has a leaf capped flying scroll handle. Engraved with a family crest of a winged cockerel. Excellent condition with no repairs, but with a couple of tiny dimples by the handle joint that do not detract from its beauty. Size: 6.5" length x 4.25" height x 3.5" depth.
