Vermont Summer Road by Mark Tougias, oil on canvas, 24 inches x 30 inches. Signed in lower right. A beautiful impressionist rendering of a country road in East Arlington, VT, with dappled sunlight filtering through the overhanging trees and a mist shrouded barn in the distance. Mark Tougias is known for his tonalist landscape paintings of Vermont and upstate New York. He is largely self-taught, but he has been a member of the Boston Copley Society, Gloucester's North Shore Art's Association, the Southern Vermont Arts' Association, and the American Society of Marine Painters. Offered in a gilt wood frame.
