| A rare copy of the Book of Mormon, translated by Joseph Smith, Jr., first state Third Edition. Nauvoo, ILL: Robinson and Smith. 1840. Stereotyped by Shepard and Stearns, Cincinnati, Ohio. Full calf binding with exceedingly rare green title label on spine. Very nice condition with some scuffing and minor chips to spine. Inscribed on inside of back cover by original owner, Edward Dana, of Utica, NY in 1841, who later became a prominent resident of Woodstock, Vermont. Size: 5 3/4 inches ht. x 3 5/8 inches wide. The first three editions of the Book of Mormon are exceedingly rare. | ||
