| New York state Federal era side board with serpentine front. Circa 1795-1805. This mahogany Hepplewhite sideboard has four drawers above four conforming doors faced with book matched, figured mahogany veneers. The tapered legs are adorned with inlaid Grecian urns above bellflowers and elliptical inlay. There is a signature on the underside which has not been deciphered, apart from the letters NY for New York. Condition: overall very good and offered in an old finish, with repairs to breaks in both the front and rear legs at the left end. Some minor shrinkage cracks and veneer loss in a few small areas. Brasses are later replacements. Size: 73 inches length x 27 3/8 inches depth x 38 3/4 inches height. | ||
