Offered in the original ogee frame and backed with newspaper dating from the 1870s. Image size: 17 inches x 23 inches. Very nice as-found condition (not examined out of the frame).
Aiden Lassell Ripley (American, 1896-1969) original charcoal study of three grouse in a pine tree in winter. Size: 9 inches x 12.5 inches (sight). Circa 1940s. Marked with the estate stamp of A. Lassell Ripley in lower left corner. Nice condition and offered in an antique carved frame. Ripley was a watercolorist and draughtsman of sporting and wildlife subjects.
