SOLD 

American Federal era classical style drop leaf work/sewing stand in strongly figured mahogany. Three drawers with pull-out bin. The stand is supported on two carved pillars terminating in reeded saber style legs with brass paw feet casters. Circa 1815-1830. Warm patina to the woods, with repair to one corner of top and with a missing piece of veneer to the front. Period stamped brass ring pulls with foliage motif. Size: 29 inches high x 18.25 inches (35.4 inches open) x 18 inches deep.

New England bird cage Windsor side chair by Samuel Gragg (1772-1855), of Boston. Early 19th century. Branded under seat - S. GRAGG BOSTON. Decorated in an old black painted surface with plank seat and original bamboo form spindles, legs and stretchers. Samuel Gragg was born in Peterborough, New Hampshire in 1772 and moved to Boston in 1801 where he began earning his living making "common chairs."
