"Clear Morning, Vermont" landscape painting by Emile Albert Gruppe (American, 1896-1978), oil on canvasboard. Signed in lower right and titled and signed on verso. Circa 1950s. A very attractive Mt. Mansfield scene by this popular and prolific marine and landscape artist. Although Emile Gruppe is best known for his harbor scenes of the Mass. Rare Yasuo Kuniyoshi (American/Japanese, 1889-1953) lithograph print titled "Burlesque Queen". Circa 1933. Edition of 100. Signed in the plate. Image size: 11.5 inches x 9.5 inches. Condition: Trimmed with 1/2 - 1 inch margins. Glued at edges to top mat. Traces of white wash at edge of print where mat was colored. Offered in the original frame which is in poor condition. Priced well below auction sales results.

Marcus A. Waterman (American, 1834-1914) oil on canvas of farmyard with chickens and rooster. Circa 1880s. Size: 10 inches x 16 inches and offered in a period lemon gold frame. Signed in lower left with conjoined monogram MW. Marcus was a New York and Massachusetts artist who frequently visited Vermont and Cape Cod.

Carlo Chiostri (Italian, 1863-1939) watercolor painting of the interior of the Basilica Di San Francesca, Assisi. Signed lower left and dated 1926. Watercolor on paper. Size: 12.5 inches x 11 inches. This wonderfully detailed work depicts a monk at prayer inside the Basilica at Assisi with its famous frescoes. "Pawlet Houses - Winter" (Vermont) by Jay Hall Connaway N.A. (American, 1893-1970), oil on masonite, signed and dated lower right 1964 and also titled and signed on verso. Size: 18 inches x 24 inches. Excellent condition. Connaway is a noted American 20th century landscape and marine artist who lived and taught on Monhegan Island, Maine and also had a summer home and art school in Dorset, Vermont and later moved to Pawlet.

An impressionist landscape and inscribed on the verso "Hill Rhythms by William Starkweather, painted at Oneonta, NY in 1932." Starkweather was born in Edinburgh and became a landscape painter.
