Unusual silver plated kerosene oil lamp with bright cut, hand engraved decoration. Wick adjustment knob marked The Silberlight Co., London, Manufactured in Germany. 19th century. There is a heart shaped maker's stamp on the cross shaped brace on the underside of the base. Size: 7 1/8 inches height x 4.5 inches diameter. Includes an amber glass ruffled chimney. This bowl was manufactured in London in 1784 by the famous partnership of silversmiths Daniel Smith and Robert Sharp, who produced silver for the firm of Parker and Wakelin, the Royal Goldsmiths who provided silver for the Prince of Wales and for much of the nobility of England. The bowl is formed of heavy gauge silver, weighing 10.37 troy ounces. Figural cow creamer, 800 silver, German, late 19th century. This heavy silver creamer is fashioned in the form of a cow with horns and with a curled tail that serves as the handle. A hinged cover adorned with a fly on the cow's back is used to fill the creamer, and the cream is poured from the cow's mouth. Pair of English George I table spoons in the Hanoverian pattern with rat tail bowls, London, 1716 - 1717, Britannia standard (95.84% pure silver), with indistinct maker's marks. Length: 8 inches.
