A George III English sterling silver sauce boat, London, 1788, by Edward Fernell, bearing a clear set of hallmarks stamped on the under side. The vessel is adorned with a serrated rim and is supported on three hoof feet and has a leaf capped flying scroll handle. Engraved with a family crest of a winged cockerel. Excellent condition with no repairs, but with a couple of tiny dimples by the handle joint that do not detract from its beauty. Size: 6.5" length x 4.25" height x 3.5" ...click for details

Pair of English Staffordshire dogs, modelled as spaniels and decorated in rust red glaze, with black muzzles and chains, yellow eyes, and copper lustre collars and locks. 19th century. Excellent condition with no chips, cracks or hairlines, just some overall fine crazing. Size: 10.5" ht. x 8.5" wide x 3.5" deep.
