"Deserted Station" watercolor painting by Frederick Clay Bartlett, Jr. (American, 1907-1955). Signed lower right and dated Sept. 1942. Clay Bartlett was a Vermont artist with a residence in Manchester, VT. He was a member of the Southern Vermont Artists from 1934-1951. This painting depicts an abandoned railway station with its shutters closed and with a stationary train on the adjacent tracks. Size: 13" x 19" (sight). Excellent condition.

George III sterling silver oval cake basket with swing handle, London, 1800-1801, by famous silversmiths Robert & David Hennell. This basket is supported on an oval pedestal foot and has reeded decoration on the rims and handle, as well as a band of floral engraving. It is hallmarked with a full set of marks on the inside of the rim and with the lion passant and maker's stamps only on the handle. Excellent condition, no monogram, or repairs. Size: 14.25" length x 9.5" depth x 11" height.
Basket-hilt officer's sword with inlaid blade, Scottish, 1796 pattern. 18th century. Brass open work basket hilt with original fish skin grip wrapped in copper wire, and the steel blade engraved and inlaid in gold with emblems of a coronet, a Highlander, and crossed cannons. This colorful and warm northern Vermont scene was probably painted near Jeffersonville, VT. It is titled and signed at the top of the stretcher and also signed in the lower right, Emile A. Gruppe. A very rare Czech art pottery wall plaque designed by Karl Grossl in 1934 and stamped on the reverse FBS within a circle, Made In Czechoslovakia, and numbered 157-10P. Probably by the Keramia Company. Featured in Wondermasken book. The plaque is fashioned of terracotta and covered in a turquoise glaze. The relief female mask is in black with a colored rose. Early William III Britannia standard silver trefid tablespoon, London, 1699, by silversmith Francis Archbold, length 7.25 inches. The shallow bowl gilded on the interior and with a double ribbed and beaded rat tail. The upturned handle's terminal is cut with two notches. Hallmarks are quite well struck apart from the date letter which is worn but still legible. The higher Britannia silver standard of 95.84% was introduced in 1697 but is rarely found after 1730.
