A rare Georgian telescopic or extending sterling silver toasting fork, London, 1809, maker's stamp TID. This fork consists of four tubular sections that telescope into one another. The outer section is covered in black shagreen or smooth leather. Each silver section is fully hallmarked, as is the sterling three tined fork terminal, which is detachable.
