Georgian sterling silver boat shaped sugar basket by Peter and Ann Bateman, London, 1813, with reeded swing handle and supported on an oval pedestal base. No monogram or engraving. Excellent condition. Full set of hallmarks struck on underside of base. No repairs or dents. Size: 7" high x 6.25" length x 4.75" depth. Famous Bateman family of silversmiths.

Rare Gorham Arts & Crafts sterling silver sauce gravy ladle in a hammered surface and with mixed metals design on the handle of two cherries, leaf and twig in bronze, and with a second leaf in gilded silver. Circa 1885. Excellent condition. Marks: stamped with the Gorham logo (lion, anchor, G) "sterling & other metals", and with the name of the retailer George H. Ford. Size: 6" length.
