A large Wave Crest covered dresser box by C.F. Monroe Co. of Meriden, CT. Circa 1900. This large box is executed in swirled opal white and yellow glass and has a hand painted enameled fern and flower motif on the lid. Signed on the underside with an original paper label. Condition is excellent and the box retains the original silk lining. There is some wear to the gilt finish of the metal rims. Size: 7 inches diameter x 4 inches ht.
A rare and tall signed Kelva glass vase by the C.F. Monroe Co of Meriden CT. Circa 1900-1910. Kelva was a line of art glass similar to Wave Crest manufactured by C.F. Monroe. This vase is mounted in silvered metal with pierced handles. The vase exhibits hand painted roses set against a gray/green streaked background. Wave Crest cigar box humidor manufactured by the C.F. Monroe Co. of Meriden, CT. Circa 1890-1910. An opal ware glass box with molded puffy cover adorned with hand painted enameled flowers. The body of the box painted in purple lustre with the label "Cigars". The cover is secured by a gilt metal rim with pierced metal shoulder mounts. Unsigned. Double ended Victorian scent bottle of faceted ruby colored glass with gold filled, foliate engraved metal end caps. The bottle is divided at the midpoint to form two separate scent vials. One end has a cap that opens with a button and hinge, while the other has a screw cap of similar appearance. Engraved initial 'B' on caps. Circa 1880s. Unmarked, but probably English.
