Historical Staffordshire dark blue covered sugar bowl with transfer of Washington at Mount Vernon. Unmarked, early 19th century. Condition: light staining to interior of bowl and some minor glaze roughness; professional restoration to cover, not visible from exterior but showing under black light and with some color variation to the inside of the cover (see photo). Size: 6.5 inches long x 4 inches deep x 5.75 inches high.

English earthenware Gaudy Welsh large size mug with incurving sides and decorated in a pearlware glaze with an Imari palette. Circa 1820s-30s. Applied handle with foliate decoration. Size: 4" ht. x 5.5" across handle x 3 7/8" diameter. Condition: Some crazing to the glaze with light brown staining in some areas. Unmarked. An identical mug is also available in our Gallery.

Large size Gaudy Welsh earthenware mug, decorated in an Imari palette with pearlware glaze. English. Circa 1820s-30s. The mug is of an unusual waisted form with incurving sides and with a foliate handle. Unmarked. Condition: Crazing and light staining, tight half inch hairline at rim (see photo detail) No chips or restoration. Size: 4" ht. x 5.5"across handle x 3 7/8" diameter. Large pair of figural majolica type stoneware busts of a courtier and a lady in 16th century costumes. Circa 1880s. Unmarked but possibly English. Wonderful detailing and coloring. Size: 17 inches high x 12 inches wide x 6 inches deep. Condition: small chip to lady's ruff at rear and tiny glaze flake to courtier's collar, otherwise perfect. No cracks or restoration.

Pair of English Staffordshire dogs, modelled as spaniels and decorated in rust red glaze, with black muzzles and chains, yellow eyes, and copper lustre collars and locks. 19th century. Excellent condition with no chips, cracks or hairlines, just some overall fine crazing. Size: 10.5" ht. x 8.5" wide x 3.5" deep.

Enoch Wood historical Staffordshire dark blue transfer plate, Moulin sur la Marne a Charenton, from the French series. Circa 1825. Pearlware with grapevine border and with pottery's impressed WOOD mark and underglaze blue pattern name. Size: 9 1/8" diameter. Condition is very good apart from some light staining to reverse of plate.

Vue d'une Ancienne Abbaye Staffordshire historical plate by Enoch Wood. Circa 1825. This pearlware plate is decorated in a dark blue transfer and is from the "French series." It has a grape vine border and bears on the back the pottery's factory impressed mark WOOD as well as the pattern name in an underglaze blue stamp. Size: 9" diameter. Condition: Very good with a couple of very small pin sized flecks to the glaze and some fine crazing.

English Staffordshire handleless tea bowl/cup and saucer with dark blue transfer of two ladies in a flower garden, bearing a printed blue mark, RILEY, with an impressed hand; circa 1800-1825. Condition: Manufacturing flaw - a burst bubble to interior of cup with 2 small light brown stains, otherwise excellent.
