Chinese export porcelain plates decorated for the English market. Qianlong period. 18th century. The wavy edged rim is bordered with garlands of summer flowers, surrounding a central reserve with a hand-painted floral bouquet, all trimmed with fine bands of gilding. The body of the porcelain is thinly potted and the white glaze ground is distinctly tinged with blue, with an unglazed foot ring.
